Pure Hedge - Livestock and Grain![]() 7/15/25 . . If you don't like the customer service or lack of personal attention you are receiving at your new and very large brokerage house, you have options, and you don't have to stay there. Account transfers are easy and so is opening a new account. . . If you would like to receive more information on the commodity markets, please use this link to join my email list Sign Up Now . . The Livestock Markets were mixed again today, with the Fats and Feeders making some of yesterday's big losses back. October'25 Live Cattle were 2.50 higher today and settled at 219.27 ½. Today's high was 219.55 and the 1-month and Contract high are 220.62 ½. Today's low was 216.57 ½ and the 1-month low is 205.02 ½. Since 6/13 October'25 Live Cattle are 9.32 ½ higher or more than 4%. The August'25 Feeders got almost half of yesterday's losses back today. August'25 Feeder Cattle were 2.80 higher today and settled at 322.27 ½. Today's high was 322.70 and the 1-month and contract high are 326.87 ½. Today's low was 319.52 ½ and the 1-month low is 300.05. Since 6/13 August'25 Feeder Cattle are 15.85 higher or more than 5%. The Hogs traded lower again today. October'25 Hogs were 20 cents lower today and settled at 86.02 ½. Today's high was 88.25 and the 1-month high is 97.05. Today's low was 86.02 ½ and that is the 1-month low as well. Since 6/13 October'25 Lean Hogs are 6.67 ½ lower or more than 7%. The Fats and Feeders regained some of their losses from yesterday but were unable to beat yesterday's highs. The October'25 Fats traded up to 219.55 but were held 12 ½ cents short of yesterday's high of 219.67 ½ and settled 42 ½ cents below Friday's settlement price of 219.70. I still think this market can trade lower and if the October'25 Fats break 10% off the Contract high of 220.62 ½, it would trade down to 198.56. The 50% retracement from the 52-week high/low is 195.56 and the 200-Day moving average is 194.61. The August'25 Feeders traded up to 322.70 today, but nowhere near yesterday's high of 325.30 and Friday's settlement price of 325.32 ½. If the highs are in, the markets could be moving much lower quickly. If the August'25 Feeders break 10% off the contract high of 326.87 ½, the price would be 294.18. The 100-Day moving average is sitting just above that level at 295.43. The October'25 Hogs made a new 1-month low today at 86.02 ½ and it looks like they could continue to grind lower from here. The 100-Day moving average is 85.98, the 50% retracement from the 52-week high/low is 84.91, and the 200-Day moving average is 84.09. I have new December'25 Fat Cattle and November'25 Feeder Cattle Trades below. Give me a call if you have any questions. . . I see two big trades for this year. I still like the Soybean Oil and the Natural Gas. These markets will correct. Take advantage of any pullbacks in these markets. NOW IS THE TIME TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT. The need for a successful business to have a trading account is immeasurable. Look at the market movement in all markets over the last three weeks. Opening an account sometime in the future will not help you if you need access now. To be successful, and able to manage risk, you need to be proactive now and secure your access to markets in real time. You can be both Prepared and Patient at the same time. WATCH FOR TRADE DEAL NEWS . . The Grain Markets were also mixed today, with the Corn trading higher. The Beans dropped about a nickel today. November'25 Soybeans were 5 ¼ cents lower today and settled at 1001 ¾. Today's high was 1010 and the 1-month high is 1074 ¼. Today's low was 1000 and the 1-month low is 998 ¼. Since 6/13 November'25 Soybeans are 53 cents lower or more than 5%. The Corn Market held on today and stayed in the green. December'25 Corn was 1 ¾ cents higher today and settled at 419 ¾. Today's high was 424 and the 1-month high is 447. Today's low was 413 and the 1-month and contract low are 407 ½. Since 6/13 December'25 Corn is 23 ¼ cents lower or more than 5%. The Wheat Market gave a little back today. September'25 Wheat was 3 ½ cents lower today and settled at 538. Today's high was 545 ¼ and the 1-month high is 594. Today's low was 535 ½ and the 1-month low is 534 ¾. Since 6/13 September'25 Wheat is 21 ¼ cents lower or almost 4%. The Grain Markets need Trade Deals and could also be what is needed for the Funds to start covering their huge, short positions. It sounds like a Trade Deal was made with Indonesia today, but many more significant Trade Deals will need to be struck soon. There are 12 trading days left in the month, and it could start to get busy again soon, if all of the Trade Deals get done before August 1st, and that would be Bullish for the Grain Markets. The November'25 Soybeans were able to stay above the 1000 level. If the Beans can start to head North again, the 1030 level looks like the first level higher. 1028 is the 100-Day moving average, 1030 ¾ is the 200-Day moving average, 1032 ½ is the 50% retracement from the 52-week high/low, and 1034 ¼ is the 50-Day moving average. The Corn Market did manage to stay positive today and I feel it can trade higher from here. I like the 445 level in the December'25 Corn for starters. 443 ½ is the 50% retracement from the 52-week high/low, 446 ½ is the 200-Day moving average, and the 1-month high is 447. The December'25 Corn Options are very cheap. The Wheat Market was a little lower today but looks like it only needs a little push to trade higher again. I still feel we can see the September'25 Wheat trade much higher from here, and if it does, it will have to cross through these three levels. 564 ¾ is the 100-Day moving average, 583 ½ is the 200-Day moving average, and 594 is the 1-month high. I recommend getting long the Grains now, while they are still at these discounted levels. Give me a call and I can get you ready to go in a day or two. There are trades in the Fats and Feeders below.
