Friday, May 1st Beef Feeder Sale

Results from the Beef "Back to Grass" Feeder Cattle Sale May 1st

Here this past friday we had a really nice run of high quality cattle selling 1730 head.  The market was fully steady on the steers and the heifers being steady with a lower undertone.  This sale was well tested with front end, high quality yearling cattle 700-900#.  Whether the cattle were being fit for the feedyards or ready to turn out on grass, they were met with good demand.  Live and Feeder Cattle Futures finished the day in the green but with the uncertainty of getting their fat cattle marketed, buyers are very cautious.
